From ‘Boondoggle to ‘Disembogue’, they spelled their way to victory!
Milestone College is buzzing with pride as its Spelling Bee Club celebrates a second consecutive victory at the prestigious Orate Spelling Bee and Sibale Regional Competitions, held in Maseru, Lesotho from 24 to 28 September 2025.
Represented by ten talented spellers, our team competed against over eighty participants from twenty schools across the SADC region—including Lesotho, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. The competition was fierce, but our students rose to the occasion, bringing home top honors and reaffirming Milestone’s reputation for linguistic excellence.
Notably, Precious Chisango earned a Bronze Medal in the Form Two category, while Benniah Sakupwanya (Grade Four) made us exceptionally proud by securing second place in his division. Benniah received a trophy and certificate for his outstanding performance and will represent Zimbabwe at the continental finals in Kigali, Rwanda this December.
