The smallest of cogs will turn the biggest of wheels like the huge ferrous wheel. It is the Maggies Day Centre which was established in 1993 in Rusape that has a story to tell. The Proprietor began as a baby minder as she had passion in children so the working mothers would leave their babies with her to look after. The news spread like a whirlwind that everyone in Rusape just liked the idea of taking their babies to her. The number eventually escalated and it was imperative that she had to make an organized structure hence giving birth to a nursery school. For four years she operated an unregistered entity. In 1997 she was granted by the Rusape council a place to establish a nursery school. And within that period she was voted as the president for nursery school’s association. This accord was a stepping stone to greater heights. So many parents had a lot of trust in her and they approached her to find out if she was able to begin a “home school “, she accepted the idea without any hesitation. Grade one and two classes sprouted up.
These were special children who been denied entry into a formal school because of underage. As the numbers increased there was need of a bigger space for the new school. And the need to look for a better working area was now a priority. God answered The Proprietor’s prayer in an awesome any miraculous manner. The Plot at Mino Farm was found the present day were milestone group is currently located. in 2012 milestone college was born out of the grade 7 pupils who had wrote the previous year and today we celebrate the milestones which made the Group of schools
