On the 28th of October 2023, the Milestone Judo Club participated in the Japanese Ambassador Cup 2023 in Harare at Hellenic Junior School. Ever since the inception of Judo at Milestone, this is the 2nd time participating in this prestigious tournament. This year’s edition had 270 participants from DRC, Zambia, local schools and clubs. Our Judokas exhibited a rattling performance and scooped 16 medals of which 6 are gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze. Thumbs up to Zvenyika Dylan, Dube Fedora, Godobo Tinotenda, M’dimu Thandiwe, Chipikiri Makanaka and Zvandasara Tanatswa who scooped gold medals. We are also happy for Chiedza Maruve, Binali Yard, Mutangadura Nyasha and Sanyanga Kupakwashe who won silver medals. Congratulations again to Mabandla Tadiwanashe, Madziyire Darrel, Zona Nelly, Nherera Makanaka, Chikowo Ariella and Tevera Tyler who earned silver medals.
We would like to unreservedly thank the Parents of the Milestone Judo Club members for their unwavering financial and morale support to the club ever since its inception in 2022. We also unequivocally thank Sensei Smart Deke, our coach, and his assistants, Sensei Brian and Sensei Allen, for preparing our Judokas into world champions. Much thanks also goes to the Club Patrons, Ms Muvaro Prudence and Mr Sithole Rangarirai, for the their tireless efforts in the administration of the club.
